2nd annual fall Tail of the Dragon run Nov. 14th-15th

Alright I wanna go 14th/15th.
I will have my new wheels, tires and geometry done by then, so I will be good to go.


Okay, Saturday crew, meet up at 8:30 am, the estimated travel time is 2 hrs and 45 minutes. So we will leave at 9 or shortly after.

We will be meeting at the HOME DEPOT at the end of 400 behind the CHEVRON and WAFFLE HOUSE. I don't think they open until 9 so we don't have to worry about them getting ansy like Walmart did last run.

We will caravan up to The Cabin at the IRON HORSE MOTORCYCLE LODGE and drop our stuff off and then make arrangements for food, etc before hitting up the Dragon and Skyway.

Accommodations: Full cabin upper & lower level rental includes 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths, sleeper sofa in living room, large country kitchen opens to the livingroom and dining room. (sleeps 2 - 10). Or rent just the upper level with 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths, living room with sleeper sofa and kitchen (sleeps 2-6).

Amenities: Full kitchen, fireplace, satellite TV, BBQ grill. Garage for bike parking. Full use of Iron Horse facilities.  All linens are supplied. Laundry facilities on site.

At the cabins I was looking at with this many people as is it's looking like about $25 a person. Event will be BYOB/BYOF with enough to share for the cookout in the evening and party

I was thinking of making a trip up there soon before the weather gets really cold. Id be down for Nov 14 and 15. I was probably going to leave early and go 28 to the dragon spend the day up there and then come home 129 and go through Blood Mountain.

yea I was thinking 14/15 too even though that's my bros b-day and I wanted to go visit them. Im down. we can figure out Cabin situation this week if you'd like. I think its like $100 a cabin, 3 rooms, 4 beds. I think we cram about 7 ppl in, but with 4 ppl it'd only be $25 a person

That will work. Count me in and my girlfriend.

OK guys this was brought up during the UfC get together.
We are 90% set on the date. so no poll on this one.

I will call and get the final price on the cabins, but should be around 100$ per.

we will base the cabin number on the number of people who commit. The cabins can hold about 8 people comfortably.

im off that weekend. but im going to the football game saturday again. already paid for season tickets, so not gonna miss that. depending on ride and time, i might come up afterwards again

Is there room for two? I don't have back seats.

Pending time off work and if I need new tires (maybe 2-3k miles on them now) and if I get my sway bars in time I'll be down for this. Driving the Dragon is on my life list.
