Forum Terms of service

Using the forum. By registering on this forum, you agree to use it properly, and to refrain from posting any content that is aggressive, offensive, defamatory, hateful, or in violation of applicable laws and regulations. You agree not to post messages inciting or evoking illegal practices, or violating the terms of use of the service.

The moderators and administrators of this forum will do their best to delete or edit any reprehensible messages that may be posted on the forum. You acknowledge that all messages posted on this forum express the opinion of their respective authors, and do not necessarily reflect the position of the moderators and administrators.

In order to ensure the moderation of this forum, any message violating the preceding provisions may be edited or deleted without notice by the moderators and administrators of the forum. Any abuse may also be sanctioned by banning or deleting the user account. We reserve the right to inform your access provider and/or the judicial authorities of any malicious behaviour.

Your personal data. By registering on this forum, you agree that it may collect some of your personal data. This data collection is done either through the information you provide us, or through the use of the services itself, for technical data used for the forum proper functioning. A Note from the Admin's:These rules are not meant to oppress anyone's freedom on the forum but instead to keep everything nice and fair and allow for a pleasant environment for everyone to post on. We will be monitoring for all these violations relatively loosely and will mostly act only when ithas gotten out of hand or if someone complains to a mod/admin. The worst consequence is a temp ban of 3 days, so not that bad but should be enough to fix the issue and be a deterrent from the violation happening again. Most of these rules will never be broken as I haven't seen them happen yet, but this listing is provided peace of mind to users and for public knowledge that it exists. If you are banned for any period of time, please understand that there was a reason for it and we'd be happy to explain it to you. It's nothing personal and never will be, but rules are in place for a reason.

General Rules and Consequences

Tier 1 Violation
These violations will work on a 1-Strike policy. The first violation will result in a PM warning from a mod/admin. If another Tier 1violation occurs after the warning, the result will be a temporary banf or a period of 3 days. Mods will always be on the lookout for these.

1. Excessive bashing based on race/sex/gender/sexual orientation.
2. Excessive/repeated trolling. Failure to maintain overall good fellowship/camaraderie, AND/OR if you are consistently unpleasant to other members, AND/OR constant negativity.
3. Stickys in respective forums - They may state other temporary or forum specific Tier 1 violations.
4. Registration of more than 1 user name without prior permission.
5. Unsolicited Advertisements/Spam
6. Posting naked, partially naked image or videos of any kind of any human being engaged in any form of sexual conduct (this included avatars and signatures).

Tier 2 Violation
These violations will work on a 3-Strike policy. The first 3 violations willresult in PM warnings from a mod/admin. If another Tier 2 violation occurs after the warning, the result will be a temporary ban of 1 day.

1.Post whoring - Post whoring is defined as posting short/unnecessary replies multiple times in the same thread AND/OR creating multiple useless threads with multiple useless replies, AND/OR replying to random threads with same/useless replies.
2. New member bashing
3.Posting not-work-safe content in a thread without warning. Not work safe content is defined as absolutely anything that you may not want your boss or co-worker to see on your monitor. This includes large bold fonts, excessive gore, and other related content. *Always put *NWS*before the content, so people at work know not to click on it,regardless of the thread title. Please note that posting naked,partially naked image or videos of any kind of any human being engaged in any form of sexual conduct is a Tier 1 Violation, as stated above,and will fall under the same consequence of a Tier 1 Violation.
4.Avatar and Signatures - Need to be work friendly. Sigs cant be too long. I am not going to limit the number of lines or images, just make sure we dont have to scroll down a lot. Please note that naked, or partially naked images or videos of any human being engaged in any form of sexual conduct is a Tier 1 Violation, as stated above, and will fal lunder the same consequence of a Tier 1 Violation.
5. Posting personal information in the forums, even if they are publicly available.
6. Using 4touge.com to harass someone or attack other sites, or make prank phone calls.
7.Posting copyrighted content without permisson, or using 4touge.com to obtain illegal software/product keys and other warez related content.

Tier 3 Violation
These violations are something that mods generally dont look for, but you will be warned and/or banned if you keep on doing it. Multiple instances will definitely get you banned for 1 day.

1. Dont make threads just to talk to another individual back and forth, take it over instant messenger programs,private messaging, myspace, etc. Just not in a thread.
2. Bandwagon threads/replies/posts.


Posting Guidelines

1.All posts should pertain (for the most part) to topic of the thread. Ifa thread goes OT (off topic) a mod/admin will split the topic at the appropriate place and insert it into an appropriate forum/category.

2.All threads should be started in the appropriate forum/category. If youare unsure where a thread should be started just add something like"I'm not sure if this goes here but..." to the beginning of the thread and a mod/admin will gladly move it to the appropriate place if need be.
