This reference was mostly about restricted racing classes or people in mostly stock cars that are just out having fun. Not ever class has the option to completely remove the push, nor does every "every-once-in-a-while" track visitor care to have a racing setup on their vehicle. I think it's a valid statement.

But, you are right ... if you are setting up a car to be fast, you want it pretty neutral with rotation on demand and slight oversteer when pushed hard.

don't indulge his ridiculousities. haha. But i feel like it is easier to let off the throttle while understeering than it is to have to give it the right amount of throttle to save an oversteering fiasco. Sometimes at leats, and from a fwd perspective.

Some cars do like to snap oversteer, and you don't want that. But, a nice, controlled oversteer is very nice to have.

Also, the course has to be considered. In a really tight course with multiple low-speed switchbacks you might want to err toward a slight understeer, as low speed oversteer gets really "choppy" at times. You nearly come to a stop to control it if it gets out just a tad too much. With sweeping corners I'd always prefer oversteer.
